Privacy policy

Nothing. QR Zen does not collect, transmit or store personal data on any server, because there is no server.

Every code you scan or generate is written to storage on your own device and stays there. It is never uploaded. Deleting an item from History, or deleting the app, removes it permanently — we hold no copy and cannot recover it for you.

Sharing a code is the one exception, and it is always something you initiate: when you tap Share or Save, the image or text is handed to whichever app or destination you pick, and that app's own privacy policy takes over from there.

Anonymous usage analytics are opt-in and switched off by default. If you turn them on in Settings, we would collect only coarse reliability signals — never the contents of a code, and never anything that identifies you or your device to a person.

Camera — required only to scan a code. The frames are processed on-device, in the moment, and are never recorded or sent anywhere.

Photo library — read access is used when you choose to scan a code from an existing image. Write access is used when you save a generated code to your photos. Neither happens without you asking for it.

You can withdraw either permission at any time in your device settings. The rest of the app keeps working.

QR Zen is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, children included.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
