You get a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use QR Zen on devices you own or control. You may not resell it, rent it, or pass it off as your own work. The app and its design remain the property of their author.

You are responsible for the codes you create and for what you do with the codes you scan. Do not use QR Zen to encode malicious links, to impersonate a person or business, to carry out fraud, or to break the law where you are.

A QR code is opaque until it is decoded — that is the whole point of it, and it is also the risk. QR Zen shows you the decoded content before acting on it, but it cannot vouch for where a link goes. Treat a scanned link the way you would treat one in an email from a stranger.

QR Zen is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Printing, scanner quality, lighting, damage and heavy styling all affect whether a given code reads reliably. The in-app contrast check is guidance, not a guarantee — always test a code on a real device before committing it to print.

To the extent the law allows, the author is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including business losses from a code that failed to scan or from acting on a code someone else created.

Your codes live only on your device. The app has no backup service, so uninstalling or wiping the device removes them for good. Exporting the ones you care about is your responsibility.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
